A Central Vacuuming system is a powerful vacuum unit that is situated in a location outside your personal living space (such as a garage, cellar or utility room). It is connected by PVC ducting to vacuum sockets that are similar in size to electrical sockets. When the end of the flexible hose is inserted into a socket the vacuum unit automatically switches on, and the vacuuming is carried out without the need to trail a heavy vacuum cleaner around.
